Introduction: It is an AAAA scenic spot. It gets its name as it is linked to nine peaks and resembles the shape of lotus. The tourism area has Jiulian Pond Natural Landscape Tourism Area and Minor Western Heaven Folksy Faith Tourism Area. The other two scenic areas are yet to be developed. Local people call it ‘Xilian (West Lotus)’. Most travelers are on pilgrim. They are not here for travelling. They would head over to the temple. The scenic spot offers ‘incense-burning ticket’. The scenic spot is the first choice in Henan for travelers from South Korea. It is not outshined by the neighborhood Baligou but is far outnumbered. And its travelers are mostly here on a pilgrim. It is ascribed to deficiency in publicity, fame and conformity.  
Traffic

Take a bus in Huixian bus station and Huixian Lishizhen Parking Lot to Baligou Travelers’ center. It’s over one hour of bus ride. 10 Yuan
 Accommodation

Abodes in Jiulian Mountain are concentrated in Xilian Village halfway up the hill. It is short of large-scaled hotels or restaurants. Most are agritainment. Dining is also on offer in each abode at a lower price when compared with that in the scenic spot. A big bowl of noodles costs 10 Yuan and a deep-fried dough cake costs 3 Yuan.

Hint

I went to Guanshan Mountain the day before yesterday and went to Huilong Tourism area yesterday. Our last destination today is Xilian Tourism Area.

After check-out this morning, I got on the bus of ‘Huixian-Sky Boundary Mountain-Baligou-Jiulian Mountain’ in Huilong Village.

After over ten minutes, the bus arrived at the gateway to the tourism area. We were in a queue for ticket. The entrance ticket is 80 Yuan and 40 Yuan for students and the senior.

After entering the gateway, I took a tour-sighting electromobile and paid 10 Yuan. Our destination was Jiulian Pond Parking Lot. It takes 6 kilometers.
9:50 The bus arrived at Jiulian Pond parking lot. After getting off, the incense burner went to the elevator for burning incense. Travelers would access it from ‘entrance of Jiulian pond’ (it got an indication board)

10:00 After passing Jiulian pond, Sky Kettle Waterfall and the elevator (30 Yuan for one way, 50 Yuan for round trip). I didn’t take the elevator but began climbing the mountain through the climbing track.

10:30 After arriving at the peak, I went to Minor Western Heaven Tourism Area

10:50 I arrived at Xilian Temple or Xilian Village. It has many agritainments, many temples (around 10 of different sizes) and incense burners. Some would wait in queues to get in.

11:20 I began to climb the mountain after lunch.

12:20 I arrived at Lotus Cave. It is a huge crevice that is 50 meters in depth. Small caves are interlaced with big caves. Each cave has figures for Bodhisattva for incense burners. The cave is illuminous and chilly. It is 34 degrees outside but it is freezing cold after five minutes in the cave. Lotus Cave is the highest spot of the mountain-climbing track. You would climb down after reaching the spot.

13:40 After passing Palace for Mother Jiulian, Rebirth Road, Indoors Corner, Jumble Beads Playing with Water, I arrived at Goddess Pond.

13:50 Tianyun pond

14:15 After returning to Xilian temple (village),I began to return to Jiulian Pond Parking Lot and took an electromobile to go down.

15:50 Gateway to the tourism area
