Now we are here in Qing Feng Guan Square. It gets its name as it lies at the entrance of Shanxi and Henan. It is not far from Shanxi to its north. It used to be precipitous. It was easy to hold but hard to attack and is a place soldiers would fight for throughout generations. During the Anti-Japanese war period, the 8th independent branch team of KMT First War Zone used to fight against the Japanese army at the peak of ‘Sow Mountain’. They killed over 400 foes. It was called ‘Triumph in Sow Mountain’. As Master Peak is also called Green Peak and it is in the mountain, so it gets its name as ‘Qing Feng Guan’. ‘Qing’ used to mean green rather than crystal. What happens to the shift? In the 25th year during the Republic of China or in 1936, Qing Feng Guan was intruded by the Japanese army. Xu Dongji, a person from Linqi, raised money for repairing work. He sent Xu Ying, his first son, to write the name down. As he was into crystal water and factored in the holy land being a pure place for the Founder to perform his doctrine, he changed the meaning from Qing as implying green to Qing as implying crystal.
